New Communications Room and Generator Back-up system for government pharmaceutical facility
|challenge||New Build IT infrastructure|
|solution||New Communications room with Modular UPS and Generator|
|benefit||Resilient N+1 back up power solution|
A new build communications room for a government pharmaceutical facility. Under tight time constraints, the works involved the installation of new server cabinets with N+1 resilient power supplies. All power supplies to have an autonomy of 24hours. The installation needed to be fire protected together with general small power and LED lighting.
The site wide IT infrastructure required a dedicated communications room. New server racks are supplied via underfloor power supplies in a N+1 configuration. The power supplies are fed from dedicated modular UPS backed PDU boards and a new 850kVA generator. Fire protection comes in the form of a 1st knock Vesda system and FM200 Fire Suppression system.
IT Infrastructure with N+1 redundancy.
