Odour Control System

Environmental Engineering UK Ltd has been awarded the contract to design and install an odour control system for a major food producer.

The system is designed to remove odour from the exhausts of several industrial fryers and ovens.

Individual exhausts from each process discharge into a central stainless steel accumulator vessel from which a common ductwork range is extended to a thermal oxidiser.

The common duct range is 950mm diameter of fully welded rolled stainless steel construction.

The new ductwork will run along a 150 metre route passing, over the factory roof and will be mounted upon structurally designed steelwork supports.

Ancillary services to the new thermal oxidiser include a new dedicated boosted natural gas supply, a compressed air services together with associated control and electrical power wiring.

The installation of the system will be undertaken during specific weekend shut downs with all equipment and materials lifted into position using 250 ton telescopic cranes.

Airflow Surveys

Environmental Engineering have been employed to undertake a number of detailed airflow surveys for several of our customers, where positive room pressures between high and low risk areas are critical.

Our surveys establish actual airflow patterns from which we identify any remedial works required to achieve the correct regimes. We regularly find an imbalance is simply caused by the failure of existing plant which is often poorly maintained. However where new systems are required to achieve acceptable conditions we provide, as part of our survey a concise set of accompanying budget costs.
