benefit Seamless integration
challenge Our client's research facility at Port Sunlight required new laboratory and administration facilities to accommodate an influx of over 200 new scientists.

The challenge was to provide new highly serviced laboratories with all work undertaken within occupied and sensitive research facilities.
solution The client created a specialist team with Environmental Engineering responsible for all mechanical building services design and installation works.

An open book policy was adopted for the project with costs clearly identified for all aspects of work.

Works were split into several individual projects each costed separately and carefully planned to create an overall site-wide programme.

For each specific project, our in-depth site surveys and meticulous designs prevented any unforeseen problems, which could have arisen within the heavily serviced and fully occupied working areas.

Our full time site supervision/management working closely with the client and coordinating with the other trades ensured complete success.
benefit The project was completed over the 2-year period without disruption to existing research facilities.

The work was completed safely and within budget.

As a direct result of this work, we successfully undertook the design and installation of building services for a new research laboratory for our client with our works exceeding £1 million.

We currently remain on-site providing assistance with both design and costing of services works with all installations Open Book and based upon a pre-priced schedule of rates.
